Newborn Pain Assessment and Management Guideline for Practice: Call for Editors and Contributors/Reviewers
NANN is excited to announce the revision of the 2012 Newborn Pain Assessment and Management Guideline for Practice. The third and current edition of the guideline offers an outline of pain assessment and management practices that are accepted and documented by experts in neonatal care. Recommendations and rationale for infant nursing care reflect the best evidence available on the assessment and management of pain in hospitalized preterm and full-term newborns. Although broad in scope, this guideline provides a foundation for specific nursing protocols, policies, and procedures that were developed by individual institutions.
NANN is seeking subject matter experts (SMEs) who have comprehensive knowledge the assessment, diagnosis and treatment (non-pharmacologic and pharmacologic) of pain in neonates. As a SME, you will contribute to the creation and revision of accurate and up to date content and ensure that the information reflects the latest evidence-based practices, guidelines, and standards of neonatal care.
If you are looking for the opportunity to accelerate your professional development this might be a great prospect for you to volunteer with NANN.
