What does the APRN Awards Selection Task Force do?
The APRN Awards Selection Task Force reviews nominations and recommends a recipient for each of the following awards:
- APRN Excellence Award
- APRN Rising Star Award
What kind of volunteer is NANN looking for?
- Must be a NANN-AP member
- Interest in awards and scholarship
- Ability to meet key deadlines
- Detail-oriented
- General interest in recognizing high achievers in the neonatal nursing profession
- Someone who is just starting their volunteer journey with NANN!
A SIG facilitator, committee chair, or member shall not serve in any other volunteer role at the same time unless it is an appointment by virtue of the position held. If currently serving in a volunteer role, a member must complete the term of service prior to serving on the Board or Council. Service on a task force may be made upon approval by the designated leadership body – either the NANN Board of Directors or NANN-AP Council.
Term
One year with an option to renew for one additional term.
Responsibilities
A. Review submitted nominations.
B. Participate in conference call to review and select an award recipient, guided but not compelled by submitted nominations.
What is the time commitment?
The APRN Awards Selection Task Force will conduct scoring in March/April. The estimated total volunteer time will be between 2 to 10 hours per year, depending on the number of award applications received.
