What does the Developmental Care Specialist Designation (DCSD) Task Force do?

The DCSD Task Force helps facilitate the construction of a formal business plan around the DCSD product relaunch, including:

  • Identifying target audiences for the designation
  • Informing developmental care product creation
  • Updating exam questions and designation handbook
  • Facilitating designee discussion and engagement
  • Providing insight about the designation as it relates to professional development, advancement, and patient outcomes to inform marketing plans to individuals and institutions
  • Evaluating product data to help inform future strategic initiatives and success metrics

What kind of volunteer is NANN looking for?

No prior volunteer experience is necessary. We encourage professionals with a passion for neonatal care and understanding/expertise in developmental care practices to join us in creating these essential resources, including but not limited to:

  • Nurses
  • Advanced practitioners
  • Therapists
  • Other experts in developmental care and feeding practices

What is the time commitment?

The expectation is to remain engaged until work is complete. Volunteers can estimate 15 hours of work, including standing meetings on an every other month basis and offline work as needed.
