What does the NANN-AP Nominations Committee do?
The NANN-AP Nominations Committee is charged with identifying and slating candidates for the NANN-AP Council. The committee actively vets, reviews, interviews, and ultimately slates for the NANN-AP membership to vote on each July.
What kind of volunteer is NANN looking for?
- Must be a NANN-AP member.
- We’re looking for individuals who are currently practicing in neonatal nursing in a wide variety of roles such as clinical care, education, research, administration, or consulting.
- It is also useful if you’ve had any NANN or NANN-AP committee or leadership experience and have an understanding or interest in leadership.
- If you’re detail oriented, willing to spread the word to your networking about open positions.
- Ability to meet deadlines and attend required virtual meetings.
What is the time commitment for this role?
The NANN-AP Call for Nominations generally opens around the beginning of February and closes mid-April. During this time we ask the committee to support the call by spreading the word. The primary bulk of the work for the committee takes place mid-April to mid-June and is dedicated to the review of applications, interviewing selected candidates, and finalizing the slate for membership vote. We estimate anywhere from 10 – 20 hours of work total.
How long is the term?
You may serve one, two-year term.
