I attained my undergraduate degree from the University of Rhode Island and I am currently enrolled in an MSN program, focused on Nursing Innovation, at Drexel University (online). I have been a nurse since 1992.
My career started at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Center City, Philadelphia. I worked with adults in the Surgical ICU.
Since 1996, I have worked in the NICU at Connecticut Children's in Hartford, CT. I began as a bedside nurse and now serve as the Clinical Education Specialist for the unit.
I became the President of NEANN (New England Association of Neonatal Nurses) in 2014, after serving in roles as Treasurer and Community Support Chair. We formally became a chapter in 2019 and have a very active and engaged team.
I am married, have 3 children and I love to travel, hike, ski, snowshoe, and LIVE! I am a pretty positive person and appreciate the challenge of bringing that out in others!!
