The election timeline for the NANN Board of Directors and NANN-AP Council is below. The application window for both the NANN Board of Directors and the NANN-AP Council is Monday, February 2 to Monday, March 30, 2026. You can apply via myNANN (login required). Please have a current CV/resume and headshot on-hand for your application.
NANN and NANN-AP Nominations Timeline
Call for Nominations: NANN Board of Directors
The NANN Nominations Committee is currently looking to fill the following positions:
Secretary/Treasurer: 1 position for a 2-year term, with the option to run for a second term
Director-at-Large: 2 positions for a 2-year term, with the option to run for a second term
Staff Nurse Director-at-Large: 1 position for a 2-year term, with the option to run for a second term

General Requirements
- Must be a NANN member in good standing for the past 3 years
- Must have demonstrated NANN volunteer experience
- Must be currently working in or representing neonatal nursing care in a role such as clinical care, education, research, administration, industry, or consulting*
- Ability to travel to the NANN Annual Conference
- Ability to attend four virtual meetings throughout the year

The NANN-AP Nominations Committee is currently looking to fill the following positions:
Member-at-Large: 4 positions for a 2-year term, with the option to run for a second term

General Requirements
- Must be a NANN-AP member in good standing
- Must be a neonatal APRN
- Must present a documented history of volunteerism in NANN, NANN-AP, or other professional associations
- Must be currently working in or representing advanced neonatal nursing care through clinical practice, education, research, management, industry, or consulting*
- Ability to travel to the NANN Annual Conference
- Ability to attend three virtual meetings throughout the year

Reimbursement Policy
Members of the NANN Board and NANN-AP Council are eligible for reimbursement for required meetings. Regarding the on-site meetings at the Annual Conference, incoming NANN Board members will be reimbursed for two hotel nights, while incoming NANN-AP Council members will be reimbursed for one hotel night.

How can you be on the NANN or NANN-AP Nominations Committee?
Volunteer! Currently, the process to serve on the NANN and NANN-AP Nominations Committees is the same for all other committees/task forces. The next Call for Volunteers opens on Monday, March 23, 2026.
Has the composition of the NANN and NANN-AP Nominations Committees changed?
The composition of the NANN and NANN-AP Nominations Committees has remained largely unchanged. The NANN Nominations Committee's composition consists of three current NANN Board members, including the Immediate Past President as Committee Chair, and four members-at-large. The NANN-AP Nominations Committee's composition consists of three current NANN-AP Council members, including a Past Chairperson as Committee Chair, and four members-at-large.
Should I apply for more than one position?
Members cannot serve on multiple committees at the same time. You may not apply for both the NANN Board of Directors and NANN-AP Council. You should only apply to one volunteer position at a time.
