My entire professional career has been focused around neonatal nursing. I have worked as a staff nurse, transport nurse, NNP and as an educator. I have worked in community level I nurseries as well as large tertiary care and academic centers. My primary location has been in Colorado. Currently I am an Associate Professor and the NNP Program Coordinator at Regis University in Denver, Colorado .
I have been involved in NANN since being a new graduate NICU nurse and have been thankful for the many professional opportunities it has opened up for me over the years. However, even more exciting and rewarding has been the amazing professionals I have met during my volunteer activities with NANN. Over the years with NANN I have been in involved in the public policy committee as a member and Chairperson, I attended the Nurse In Washington Internship and represented NANN as a liaison to the AAP Committee on Fetus and Newborn for six years, and have served as a member of the Board of Directors.
I have also been involved with the National Certification Corporation (NCC) for several years and served on their NNP Exam Content Team, Board of Directors and currently I am the President of the Board of Directors.
