My specialty area is neonatal intensive care advanced practice nursing with a focus on critically ill neonates. I have been a nurse for 27 years with the past 20 years as a Neonatal NP. My areas of expertise include advanced practice care of the critically ill neonate, inter-professional collaboration, transport and stabilization of the critically ill neonate, nursing education, and team leadership for the Advanced practice provider (APP) team in a large academic medical center. I am currently faculty at the University of Maryland Baltimore School of Nursing teaching content within the Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) graduate program to neonatal and pediatric nurse practitioner students.
