Volunteer Profile

As a DNP prepared Neonatal Clinical Nurse Specialist, I would like the opportunity to be a part of the NANNP Council. With many NICU's across the nation using CNSs to improve patient outcomes and develop and implement QI projects, I feel it is important to have a voice. I have over 30 years of experience at the bedside in mostly level IV units and have worked closely with the interprofessional team to improve care for all neonatal patients throughout the hospital. After five years in the CNS role, I have experienced the culture and staffing changes that were brought about by Covid and the challenges that are still present. I would love the opportunity to be a part of an organization that is improving care for neonates and for the teams that care for them.
