What does the Professional Development Committee do?
The Professional Development Committee aims to provide neonatal nurses opportunities for mentoring and professional development in a variety of clinical and professional practice areas, as well as career development and the potential for leadership within NANN. This committee also supports the Emerging Leader Fellowship Program and E-Mentoring Program.
What kind of volunteer is NANN looking for?
- A NANN member in good standing and currently practicing in neonatal nursing in a role such as clinical care, education, research, administration, or consulting
- Interest in professional and leadership development
- Experiencing mentoring others
- Detail-oriented and innovative
- Ability to meet deadlines when working on committee projects
What is the time commitment?
The community usually meets virtually for an hour every other month. Occasionally, should deliverables require it, additional time may be needed.
How long is the term?This volunteer role is a two-year commitment, with an option to renew for one additional term.
