What does a NANN Footprints author do?
Every day in the NICU, neonatal nurses experience challenges, triumphs, heartbreaks, and miracles. NANN Footprints: Stories from the NICU shares the narratives of neonatal nurses and highlights their incredible impact on patients and families. NICU nurses care for the most fragile patients while acting as a cornerstone for families facing the unknown. 

A NANN Footprints author is responsible for writing stories like these to be shared in various ways with the neonatal community by NANN. A NANN Footprints story should be relevant to neonatal nursing practice, relate a baby’s or family’s experience, and/or describe the professional development of a neonatal nurse. 

What kind of volunteer is NANN looking for?
  • Strong storytelling and writing skills
  • Ability to meet a deadline committed to in advance
  • No prior volunteer experience needed

What is the time commitment for this role?
This is a micro-volunteer opportunity. Simply write the story and you are done. However, if you have multiple stories to share and enjoy writing, please let us know.
