We have had an issue with the bifurcated feeding side port collecting over time with formula or breast milk even with judicial flushing after access. We are proposing to go to a non bifurcated tube and have the bifurcation on the extension tubing, yet some staff are preferring to stay with the bifurcated feeding tube. Can i ask how many use a bifurcated feeding tube and rationale to keep it? Thanks ahead of time on your responses.
