Gastric distention

I would like to know what your procedure is for preventing gastric distention when CPAP is used.  How do you accomplish drainage to gravity, and what to you use to catch any gastric fluid drainage?  Thank you.

We vent OG/NG's with a Farrell bag when distention is an issue.

We use an orogastric tube with a 10 ml oral syringe attached with the plunger removed. This is then wrapped in a posey and suspended from the ceiling of the isolette or hung from the radiant warmer so any gastric fluid sits in the syringe and doesn't spill into the bed. Does this help?
