Neonatal Nursing: Scope & Standards of Practice is a concise guide that addresses the assumptions, characteristics, environments and settings, education and training requirements, key issues and trends, and ethical and conceptual bases of contemporary neonatal nursing practice. A NANN task force will author the new edition of the book, which will be published in 2020 in collaboration with the American Nursing Association.
NANN is looking for a staff nurse to contribute their insight, expertise, and enhance their writing skills with the Neonatal Scope and Standards Task Force. You will be part of a group that is reviewing and revising a foundational resource for neonatal nursing.
What kind of volunteer is NANN looking for?
- Applicant should be in a neonatal staff nursing role.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a neonatal intensive care unit.
- Additional experience with activities such as precepting, quality improvement, or education would be helpful.
- No writing experience needed.
What is the time commitment?
- Reviewing will take between 4 - 6 months.
