Call for Volunteers
Education Standards and Curriculum Guidelines for NNP Programs Task Force Members
The National Association of Neonatal Nurse Practitioners (NANNP) is seeking volunteers for a five to six-person task force to update the NNP Education Standards and Curriculum Guidelines for NNP Programs. The guidelines were last updated in 2017 (published in 2018) and will be updated to be published in early 2023.
Criteria for both task force members and a task force chair are listed below.
Qualifications
Task Force Members
- Current member of NANN
- Full-time faculty member in an accredited NNP program with at least two years of experience in curriculum development (or part-time faculty with active curriculum experience)
- Masters prepared or higher
- Ability to work within a team and meet deadlines
- Timeline driven/action oriented
New NNP’s are encouraged to apply. The Council would like to appoint a minimum of one newly graduated NNP (1-3 years in work experience) to the task force.
Task Force Chair
- Current member of NANN
- Masters prepared or higher
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with curriculum development and curricular changes
- Well-versed in essentials of nursing education
- Program Director level or higher at accredited NNP program
- Experience leading teams and group facilitation
- Timeline driven/action oriented
- Ability to work within a team and meet deadlines
Time Commitment
12-14 months with an anticipated publication date of January/February 2023. Members agree to participate in regularly scheduled task force activities (calls, meetings, email updates, document writing, editing, etc.). The task force will commence its work in four to six weeks (late March, early April).
