Description:

What does the NANNP Nominations Committee do?

The NANNP Nominations Committee is charged with identifying and slating candidates for the NANNP Council. The committee actively vets, reviews, interviews, and ultimately slates for the NANNP membership to vote on each July.

What kind of volunteer is NANN looking for?

  • Must be a NANNP member.
  • We’re looking for individuals who are currently practicing in neonatal nursing in a wide variety of roles such as clinical care, education, research, administration, or consulting.
  • It is also useful if you’ve had any NANN or NANNP committee or leadership experience and have an understanding or interest in leadership.
  • If you’re detail oriented, willing to spread the word to your networking about open positions.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and attend required virtual meetings.

What is the time commitment for this role?

The NANNP Call for Nominations generally opens around mid-March and closes mid-April. During this time we ask the committee to support the call by spreading the word. The primary bulk of the work for the committee takes place mid-April to mid-June and is dedicated to the review of applications, interviewing selected candidates, and finalizing the slate for membership vote.  We estimate anywhere from 10 – 20 hours of work total.

How long is the term?
