I graduated with my B.S in Biology from Francis Marion University in Florence, SC. I then attended Emory University in Atlanta, GA for my Masters in Nursing (MN). I started my career in a level IV NICU in Atlanta, GA before moving to Las Vegas, NV to work in a Level III.
I hold BLS instructor certification as well as a certification in care of the extremely low birth weight infant (C-ELBW).
I am the author of the January 2022 NANN Footprint "Dear NICU New Grads." I also joined NANN on their delegation to the UAE in 2023.
Professional interest of mine include improving neonatal nursing education for pre-licensure nursing students at the academic level.
When I am not taking care of tiny humans, I enjoy traveling, SCUBA diving (PADI Divemaster), "RuPaul's Drag Race", and enjoying all the Las Vegas Valley has to offer with my friends.
