Current practice in this nursery only requires 8-hours of CR monitoring once pharmacologic therapy is started with morphine 0.04 mg/kg every 3 hours. My experience at a large level III NICU was to continue monitoring until morphine is discontinued

1 Comment - The class is optional unless we feel that there is a medical reason that they sould take it. (such as a home monitor). It is taught in a class setting, and the only ones that have a private session is if they speak Spanish (the kit has a Spanish option), need an interpretur, or it is mandatory that they take it

I love those leads as they acutally have better contact than normal leads and you can read your rhythm better on the monitor. The regular leads you can really just count the beats
